A computing power of 1536 GHz is allocated to each project.
You can consult the benchmarks page to see some render times examples.
One hour on the RANCH corresponds approximately to a
5 days (and nights!) render on a powerful 64-bit quad-core running @ 3 GHz. |
 |
|
The MXI gathering+merging is FREE
if the render time of the project is >= 60 minutes.
|
 |
|
The minimal cost of a project is $10. This fixed amount covers the ftp account
creation and hard disk space management, bandwidth usage and administration of the farm.
However, if the actual render cost of your project is greater than $10, you will not pay this $10 fee :
it will be automatically deducted from the total amount to pay. |
 |
|
It is possible to pay directly with a PAYPAL account (recommended), or with
a VISA or MASTERCARD credit card. |

MAKE YOUR PRICE: a revolution in renderfarming pricing!
Our pay per project (metered) formula is now subdivided in 4 priority levels. On the RANCH, the priority level is there only to sort the projects in the waiting list: the higher the priority, the sooner the project is processed. Of course, if the waiting list is empty, even a lowest priority project starts immediately. And as there is no sharing on the RANCH, each and every project, when it runs, runs on the full capacity of the farm, currently 1536 GHz. This is very different from low-priority formulas that you may find on a shared renderfarm, where your project is put to sleep on a few machines and takes forever to render ;)
The four levels of priority are: Sapphire, Emerald, Ruby and Diamond.
- Sapphire is $0.12 per GHz-Hour! That is 12 dollar cents, or 0.09€ per GHz-Hour. So the cost of one hour of rendering is only $184.32 (~ 141.04€) with a guaranteed 1536 GHz processing power!
- Emerald is $0.14 per GHz-Hour ($215.04 / ~ 164.54€ per hour).
- Ruby is $0.16 per GHz-Hour ($245.76 / ~ 188.05€ per hour).
- Diamond is $0.18 per GHz-Hour ($276.48 / ~ 211.55€ per hour).
Priority-wise, the only things above the Diamond formula are the High-Priority Packs at $0.19 per GHz-Hour. Professional users who pay in advance a significant amount for a H-P credit pack will always have the highest priority.
The best thing is, there is no trick: no limitation on the size of the renders or otherwise. And you do not need to buy first a credit pack worth thousands of dollars to benefit from our "precious" formulas: it's really a Pay Per Project, metered price!

High-Priority prepaid packs - the professional choice!
By choosing a prepaid pack,
you buy credits for a number of rendering
hours, and benefit from special advantages:
- the High-Priority packs have the highest priority of all our formulas. Perfect for tight deadlines!
- no need to go through the payment process for each project.
- no submission fee.
The price for High-Priority packs is $0.19 per GHz-Hour. We also have lower-priority packs (with up to 60% discounts) if money is more important for you than priority. Please note that packs are not time-limited: you can use one over a day or a year!
Packs details are available on this page.

Useful tips for the new formulas:
- If you are a pro used to tight deadlines and intends to use the RANCH on a regular basis, nothing will beat the Diamond formula. The only other projects which may pass before yours will then be the currently running project (if there is one of course), or other Diamond projects which arrived before yours in the queue.
- If you are a hobbyist, not in a hurry and/or on a tight budget, you can choose the 'Sapphire' formula, as this level of pricing is unheard of amongst professional renderfarms. If there is no other project in the queue when your 'Sapphire' project arrives, you get the best of everything: you don't wait, you benefit from an incredibly low price, and you get the same performance as a high-priority project. But keep in mind that other people may be doing the same as you and are currently uploading projects too...
- Depending on your budget and timetable, you can also choose between two other priority levels (higher than Sapphire but lower than Diamond): Emerald and Ruby. Ruby is slightly more expensive but has a higher priority than Emerald.
- If you chose a low-priority formula, and projects with a higher priority keep adding before yours, you can if you want increase its priority (go from the 'Sapphire' to the 'Ruby' status for instance). This will move your project toward the top of the list. To do this at any moment - unless of course the rendering of your project has already begun - go to your account, in the 'My projects' section.
- If you do not want to take any chance and are in a hurry, choose the Diamond formula. It has the maximum priority of the pay per project formulas.

The BLITZ! formula - render for $10!
This formula is perfect to do render tests and low / medium resolution renders for a nominal $10 fee. The project must then respect
the following limitations:
- a maximum resolution of 1024 pixels (wide and / or high).
- a maximum render time limit of 10 minutes.
- the MXI files generated by your project must be <= 100 MB.
- animation projects are not compatible with the BLITZ! formula.
All details about the BLITZ! formula are in appendix A of the
RANCH Renderfarm User Guide.

Reservations.
It is possible to reserve the RANCH renderfarm for exclusive use, for a predefined period of time.
Perfect for important projects, this feature guarantees that no other project will interfere with yours, and that you will have
the exclusive use of the farm during this time period. If you want to reserve the farm,
please contact us by e-mail. More details are
available in the Renderfarm user Guide.
